Description
An Excessive Heat Warning takes effect Tuesday with temperatures climbing to nearly 15 degrees above normal by the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
Then, Wednesday will be the hottest day of the work week. As temperatures get closer to 100° for inland valleys. The coast may get close to 90° Wednesday. The excessive heat warning is still in effect until 8 p.m. Monday. Thursday and Friday may be slightly cooler. But the big ridge of high-pressure will sweep in more humidity causing uncomfortable conditions. This Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be excessively hot. Expect temperatures near 105° for inland valleys. And in the mid to upper 90s for the coast.
Very hot temperatures will keep Southern California baking all week long and into next weekend, prompting an Excessive Heat Warning. The current warning will expire at 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 5.
