United States Marshals have arrested wanted murder suspect Raymond 'RJ' McLeod. The US Marshals confirmed to CBS 8 that McLeod was arrested on Monday morning by El Salvadorian authorities along with US Marshals from San Diego. McLeod is expected to return to the U.S. tomorrow morning. McLeod is accused of killing his girlfriend Krystal Mitchell in June of 2016. She was 30 years-old and was the of mother two. Krystal was beaten and strangled in her apartment on June 10th, 2016. The prime suspect remains as her former boyfriend who remains on the run. Authorities he is either in Mexico or Central America. He is considered armed and dangerous, but at the forefront of the search for RJ McLeod is Krystal’s mother, Josephine Foonez Wentzel. This is a developing story.
