Chef Andrew Boyer from NOLA on 5th and Ric Lee from Bayou Brothers talked about the event and what visitors can expect.
The Taste of New Orleans Food & Music event takes place at the Del Mar Racetrack on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 1 - 6 p.m.
Enjoy world-class horse racing while celebrating New Orleans culture – guests can look forward to:
-Sampling popular New Orleans fare like Hurricanes, Frozen Daiquiris and authentic cajun cuisine like gumbo, po’boys, beignets, red beans & rice and jambalaya
-Local & regional craft beers
-A Big Easy music experience with live performances of Cajun Music – from the Bayou Brothers we have here today and more!
-A mini Mardi Gras Parade
-There will be plenty of family-friendly activities, like bead vendors, face painters, hat-making with the Rad Hatter and more!
-Watching and wagering on world-class horse racing from an exclusive trackside viewing area
-The event is free for those 10 years old and younger
-$8 for attendees 11-20 years old
-21+, tickets start at $34
