Summer is over for lawmakers, and the legislative session has started back up Monday after a month-long break. Waiting for them at the Capitol are hundreds of bills that need to be voted on or else they will be dead or in purgatory. “This is the crazy time in the legislature for the last month of session,” UC San Diego Political Science Dean Than Kousser said. Some of the big ones include SB 866 which allows teens 15 and older to get vaccinated without parental consent and AB 2408, which allows prosecutors to sue social media companies for using addictive features.
