March 26, 1974 The surf along San Diego's coastline was up today for the first time in what's seemed like months for San Diego surfers. So it was just the right morning for a Western Surfing Association contest in 6 to 8 foot breakers. There aren't any winners in the contest yet. The top California surfers will continue tomorrow in the surf off the end of Hill Street along Sunset Cliffs. I checked the script book for the results on March 27th--nothing there.
