Sarah Hernholm from Camp Whatever it Takes talked about the event and what participants can expect. The camp says the purpose of the event is to bring young voices to the table and to hear their ideas. We need their input as we address some of the biggest challenges in our city: homelessness, mental health and education equity. WIT also believes in showing young people that we value their input! UCSD is a partner because they also believe in providing young people opportunities to innovate and make a difference. This 3-day event is happening at UCSD at their amazing Design + Innovation Building Teens get to utilize the different aspects of the facility while they work in teams to come up with solutions to city challenges.
