Kids Day at the Bay was a day long outing for children in Big Brother and Sister programs of the county welfare department. The Outboard Boating Club of San Diego launched the event with boat rides for the children. After familiarizing the children with boat safety rules, club members took the children for trips around the San Diego Bay.
