Description
Nurse Carrie Tillson-Ulrick and Jennifer Bates Navarra from The Arc of San Diego talked about the race and what it means for The Arc.
Aya Healthcare is a San Diego-based company with our headquarters in Sorrento Valley. They are the largest healthcare staffing company in the nation.
One of their nurses, Carrie Ulrick, is doing a cross country bike ride (Race Across America) for The Arc of San Diego.
Carrie, like all of our travel nurses, left her home state (of Florida in 2019), packed her life into a suitcase and traveled by car, train or plane to work in communities and hospitals where she is needed most. As a frontline healthcare professional, Carrie has seen, felt and experienced trauma and heartache, yet she continues to give more.
In honor of Carrie and The Arc of San Diego, Aya Healthcare generously contributed $10,000 to support Team PossAbilities and their journey across the country.
The Arc of San Diego, a private, not-for-profit corporation, is one of the region's largest human service agencies. They provide an extensive array of services to people with disabilities in San Diego County.
