September 30, 1958 The temperature rose a few degrees again this week at Coronado…the reason, Marilyn Monroe is back on the island for more shooting in ‘Some Like it Hot.’ She is starring in the picture along with such other stars as Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Joe E. Brown. Two weeks ago, they shot some scenes at the hotel and on the beach in front of the hotel. Marilyn posed willingly for photographers, dressed in a bathing suit, vintage of 1920. Shooting was interrupted when Marilyn had to check into a Hollywood hospital for an undisclosed illness. But this week, she was back on the job, looking her same old self. Filming takes place on a studio-built pier at the golf course.
