Description
Michael Camacho and Paula Richardson joined the show to talk about the types of camps and if registration is still open.
The Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Foundation’s mission is to provide arts enrichment to San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) students during the school year.
In an effort to serve students throughout the year, the VAPA Foundation applied for grant funding to host a variety of immersive arts camps during the summer. The San Diego Foundation awarded the VAPA Foundation $900,000 to deliver an enriching expanded learning program for SDUSD students as part of Level Up SD Summer 2022.
From dance, set and costume design, and digital animation to painting, or creating their very own musical, VAPA campers will build their day based on the organizations present at each of the individual sites and the subjects that interest them. In addition to being an immersive arts experience, VAPA camps also offer an array of daily “pop-up” activities to choose from.
