"I'm actually working and pedalling at the same time, it's a good replacement for the gym": at a secondary school near Rennes (Brittany region), students and staff have access to "desk bikes" to combat sedentary lifestyles and inactivity, allowing them to pedal while working. The project originated from a desire to "combat the fact that we are always sitting or in front of screens," explains Christophe Briand, principal of Anita Conti secondary school, which has 900 students.
