Investigators said it appears the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. Despite having a surveillance camera pointed at the intersection, neighbor Juan Mendoza says they did not capture anything on video and is surprised he couldn't see anything. "A car came flying by, there was a hit, but when I came out I didn't see anything. But on these streets people drive crazy," he said in Spanish. He says in the 16 years he's lived here he's seen his fair share of crashes and near misses at this very intersection.
