First Lady Jill Biden visited Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle Friday to tour facilities and meet with cancer survivors.
Dr. Biden met with a panel of doctors and medical leaders in cancer research and specialized care on Friday afternoon as part of Cancer Moonshot, the White House’s initiative with a goal to “end cancer as we know it” by preventing the number of cancer-related deaths and improving the lives of all people impacted by cancer.
Fred Hutch was recently named a partner in a recent cohort of entities working to build a cancer research workforce.
