First Lady Jill Biden visited Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle Friday to tour facilities, meet with survivors of childhood and breast cancers, give remarks and hold a listening session. She addressed progress on the White House’s Cancer Moonshot initiative, with a goal to “end cancer as we know it” by preventing the number of cancer-related deaths and improving the lives of all people impacted by cancer. Fred Hutch was recently named a partner in a recent cohort of entities working to build a cancer research workforce.
