Description
First Lady Jill Biden visited Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle Friday to tour facilities, meet with survivors of childhood and breast cancers, give remarks and hold a listening session.
She addressed progress on the White House’s Cancer Moonshot initiative, with a goal to “end cancer as we know it” by preventing the number of cancer-related deaths and improving the lives of all people impacted by cancer.
Fred Hutch was recently named a partner in a recent cohort of entities working to build a cancer research workforce.
The First Lady was also promoting the Biden Administration Unity Agenda and Cancer Moonshot initiative to highlight the importance of supporting cancer survivors through specialized care and research.
