Description
There is a growing push to save Rainier School in Buckley, a facility that houses and treats people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, from closing as part of an effort to close the state's budget gap.
The facility, along with Yakima Valley School, were identified for possible closure by state lawmakers last week.
On Tuesday, a number of employees and family members of residents came together for a community meeting at the Buckley fire station.
It was organized in part by the Washington Federation of State Employees.
