Description
A Northshore School District bus driver is back behind the wheel after he was hit by a piece of metal that smashed through his windshield and struck him in the chest earlier this month.
Stewart O'Leary was driving the North Creek High School girls basketball team to their game at Mount Si on Friday, Feb. 7.
During the trip down I-405 from Bothell to Snoqualmie, the metal object came flying toward the bus as O'Leary approached Bellevue.
It's unclear where it came from.
"There was a certain amount of pain and I noticed as I slowed down, blood was dripping down my face [from] the glass shards," O'Leary told KING 5. "I'd take that hit all day long as long as [the students] didn't get hurt."
