Members of the Lummi tribe blessed the ground on Friday where a new addiction treatment center is being built on the reservation. They prayed the scourge of addiction will be lifted from their people. "We've lost a lot of people to fentanyl," said tribal Elder Rosalie Scott. "Everybody on the reservation is a member. We lose one and it affects the whole of the nation." Scott has lost more people to addiction than she cares to think about, including her own nephew.
