A man accused of raping a woman in Thurston County in September is being held on $750,000 bail after being arrested in Texas and charged with two counts of rape, assault and residential burglary . Deputies responded to an apartment complex on the morning of Sept. 29, 2024, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office. A woman reported that an intruder broke into her residence and sexually assaulted her, per probable cause documents. The victim told deputies she awoke to an unknown man in her bedroom around 4 a.m., who then assaulted her multiple times until he left the apartment around 5:15 a.m. The victim had three children who all were sleeping inside, but they did not wake up during the attack, she told deputies.
