While making the rounds on Wednesday to her Meals on Wheels clients, Bonnie Peters was met by folks fearing she'd be delivering bad news.
"One client opened the door and was surprised I was there," said Peters. "He didn't know if I would be showing up. It gave me chills."
Meals on Wheels is one of myriad programs now under scrutiny by the White House to determine if their funding will be cut because their missions don't fit with the Trump agenda.
Meals on Wheels delivered nearly 250,000 meals in Snohomish County last year alone.
In addition to Meals on Wheels, Homage Senior Services runs 40 different programs for thousands of seniors and disabled people in Snohomish County, from transportation services to home repairs.
