The Seattle City Council voted Monday to appoint Mark Solomon to fill the District 2 position left vacant by Tammy Morales.
Solomon has worked as a crime prevention coordinator with the Seattle Police Department since 1990, according to his application.
“I want to express my deep gratitude to this council for their trust,” Solomon said. “I’m really all about serving this community, getting things done, and working with the council to make life better for the City of Seattle and the residents of District 2.”
