Description
An Auburn man sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted of seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6 riot received a commuted sentence, according to the White House.
Ethan Nordean, a member of the "Proud Boys" sentenced in September 2023, received the commuted sentence following President Donald Trump's executive order pardoning about 1,500 people charged in the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack.
According to the proclamation on the White House's website, the pardon "shall ensure that all individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, who are currently held in prison are released immediately."
