A former math tutor for a Seattle-area education non-profit appeared in court on Thursday on charges that he raped a middle school student. Gregory Ward, 46, pled not guilty to charges of second-degree child rape and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes. The family of the 13-year-old that Ward is accused of raping provided a statement in court via a victim's advocate, detailing how the assault has impacted the victim and her family since it allegedly occurred in late December.
