A teenage boy is dead, and another teen is injured following a shooting on New Year’s Eve in Lynnwood. Police are actively searching for the suspect or suspects involved in the incident, which unfolded at an apartment complex near 196th Street Southwest and 68th Avenue West around 8:15 p.m. Lynnwood police were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered two teens with gunshot wounds. One was rushed to the hospital with injuries, while the second teen was pronounced dead at the scene. Friends have since identified the deceased as a 14-year-old boy, though authorities have yet to release his name pending notification of next of kin.
