A human skull found on the side of a busy road in Kitsap County was "likely a medical specimen at some point," according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office. The skull, found on Dec. 3 in Tracyton, is believed to have been "sitting on a shelf indoors for many years" before being discovered. The skull was examined by the Kitsap County Medical Examiner's office.
