Description
Chehalis police are seeking charges against two employees at the Green Hill School, adding to the ballooning number of workers who have been charged at the juvenile rehabilitation facility in Lewis County.
Police say they received 21 criminal referrals on employees this year from the Washington Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), the agency that runs Green Hill. Last year, the police received one referral in which an employee was accused of a crime.
As the KING 5 Investigators have previously reported, numerous employees have been accused of sexual misconduct with the inmates at the state’s only maximum-security facility for young male offenders.
In two separate cases this week, Chehalis police say female employees sent “sexually suggestive” photos of themselves and had long phone and text conversations with residents who had “contraband cellphones” in their possession. The suspects, a 37-year-old Winlock resident and a 26-year-old Longview resident have not been charged.
