An ongoing wildfire on Mount Jupiter has prompted a Level 1 evacuation notice for residents living on Duckabush Road in Brinnon. Crews from the Brinnon Fire Department and the Department of Natural Resources worked through the night to set up containment lines along the backside of residences in the 2500 block of Duckabush Road in Jefferson County. On Thursday, wildland fire aircraft were pulling water from Lake Cushman to assist with firefighting efforts. The fire initially was reported as having expanded to four acres. As of Thursday afternoon, it has grown to 150 acres and is growing, according to Central Mason Fire.
