A 15-year-old was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened near state Route 7 in Parkland last month. The July 31 shooting resulted in the death of 19-year-old Japree Marcus, according to the Piercy County Medical Examiner's Office. According to Sgt. Darren Moss with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, the man was found dead at the scene near 119th Street and Pacific Avenue. A gun was found on the ground at the scene, along with multiple unspent rounds and shell casings.
