The Pierce County Sheriff's Department was involved in a fatal shooting on Monday afternoon. According to the sheriff's department, the incident happened in the 26000 block of 70th Avenue East in Graham just before 3 p.m. The shooting happened after deputies tried to pull over a "suspect of interest" and they fled, according to the department's spokesperson, Carly Cappetto. Officials attempted to stop the suspect using tire deflation devices. However, the suspect did not stop and allegedly hit a deputy with their vehicle in the process.
