Description
Several businesses along Pacific Avenue in Tacoma were still without power Monday, two days after a fatal car crash that damaged the electrical system for UW Tacoma's campus.
The crash at South 21st Street and Pacific Avenue on the morning of July 6 caused a near campus-wide outage, according to information from University of Washington. There is no estimated day or time for power to be restored.
In-person operations were suspended between July 8-13 due to the HVAC system being out and the forecast calling for high temperatures throughout the week. The Pantry and Cupboard are also temporarily closed. UW Tacoma students can find off-campus resources here.
