A Milton police officer sustained what are being called "serious life-threatening injuries" after he was dragged by a suspect's vehicle while trying to make an arrest on Wednesday, June 19. Officer Haney, a five-year veteran of the department, and another officer were trying to arrest a suspect for an outstanding drug warrant near the 400 block of Meridian Avenue East. Haney, whose full name has not been provided by the police department, suffered injuries to his legs and hands when the suspect attempted to flee. Haney was dragged through a parking lot and run over, according to the police department.
