The sex offender arrested and charged for allegedly luring and sexually assaulting two women in Olympia pleaded not guilty Tuesday, May 14. Jerome Lamont Shumate was charged May 3 with two counts of first-degree rape, one count of second-degree rape and one count of second-degree assault. The 43-year-old is held on $750,000 bail.
