One person was shot and killed at a Thurston County bar on Tuesday evening, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office. The shooting took place at the Old Hwy 99 Company Bar and Grill around 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16. A person died at the scene, however officials did not release any information about the person's age or gender. The people involved are believed to be bar customers, deputies said. "It's just horrifying to see something like this happen at this wonderful little establishment," said Maureen Brown, who works at the bar but wasn't there at the time of the shooting. "It's a very close knit community where people really care for each other. For something like this to happen, it's just traumatic for the whole area."
