A 36-year-old man was arrested by Seattle police on April 1 after allegedly attempting to flee from officers and nearly flipping a car he is accused of stealing.
Officers first responded to an address on 11th Avenue East in the Portage Bay neighborhood just before 7 p.m. after a woman reported her Honda CR-V was stolen from the driveway, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD). SPD released body camera video of the arrest, which includes the suspect resisting before eventually being tased.
The woman worked with police and helped them track her car to an alley near Minor Avenue East in the Eastlake neighborhood. SPD said it observed the suspect getting into the stolen SUV after he spotted officers nearby.
