Families are finally getting answers about a Seattle summer camp for disabled kids and teens. Two weeks ago, KING 5 reported that the Seattle program was facing uncertainty because of the city’s partial hiring freeze. On March 21, the city's Parks and Rec department said in an email that the program will proceed as planned. It's news welcomed by families who rely on the program and who have been waiting to hear the fate of their families summer plans from the city. The city of Seattle’s Specialized Programs for People with Disabilities had initially sent emails that concerned parents.
