Seattle’s new CARE Department launched at the end of October. One piece of the department is their Community Crisis Responders. KING 5 had the opportunity to get an inside look at the work of the responders, Each day from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Seattle now has Community Crisis Responders on duty. There are six of them and they always work in pairs. Their team has responded to 306 events since the team launched, but how many calls they respond to a day varies.
