A public memorial service for Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Christopher Gadd will be held on March 12, WSP announced. Gadd was working when he was hit by a driver on southbound Interstate 5 near Marysville just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 2. He died at the scene. Authorities said the suspect was driving at a high rate of speed when he struck Gadd's patrol vehicle. There will be a ceremonial procession ahead of a memorial service at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett beginning at 1 p.m. on March 12. WSP will release more details in the coming days.
