Two men behind bars in connection to home invasions are now facing hate crime charges after prosecutors said they targeted Asian families. Demarcus Pate and Javez Tubbs are now charged with hate crime, assault in the third degree, and burglary in the first degree after King County prosecutors were given new evidence last week by Seattle police. According to prosecutors, the two men are linked to a group accused of committing three home invasions in less than two hours on June 25, plus a pattern of robberies across Puget Sound targeting Asian families.
