Description
Steven Goldfarb, president of Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler, has been in the jewelry business full-time since the '80s, but his family has a five-generation history in jewelry, dating back to 1886. After working at Friedlander’s for many years, Steven’s dad, Alvin, opened the Bellevue store in 1980 as Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler.
“He loved being with his clients,” Steven Goldfarb said. “He loved being part of their lives, and that’s the best part of what I do.”
Many Mariners and Seahawks athletes, including Ken Griffey Jr., have been customers of Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler through the years, and you can see their signed jerseys in the store.
“You get to know people throughout all these important occasions in their life, whether it’s an anniversary, a baby being born,” Goldfarb said. “It’s just a wonderful part of what we do.”
Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler specializes in fine timepieces and creates and repairs jewelry with onsite jewelers and watchmakers. One of its custom pieces was designed for Griffey Jr. using diamonds in the shape of his number 24. He wore it on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
As part of its Leap Year tradition, Alvin Goldfarb will be hosting a sale on its jewelry that comes around just once every four years. It starts February 29 at the Bellevue store.
“It’s a nice way to say thank you to our clients who have been with us for so many years,” Goldfarb said. “To give them the opportunity at not a special occasion to come in and find something wonderful.”
To learn more about its jewelry and services, visit the Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler website and stop in for the sale starting February 29.
