Description
A suspect is in custody after two women were shot in a car on Highway 2, one of which died from their injuries, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect, a 44-year-old Gold Bar man, is in custody. Authorities say the shooting happened Tuesday night after a verbal altercation at the Big Eddy boat launch in Gold Bar.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said the incident began just before 7 p.m. Tuesday when deputies responded to reports of a shooting in Gold Bar. Authorities said the two victims fled from the shooting scene and were found by deputies in Monroe.
Deputies reportedly discovered a 32-year-old woman deceased in the passenger seat and a 29-year-old woman with injuries. The 29-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
