One deputy has minor injuries and a suspect is in the hospital in serious condition after a police chase, shooting and standoff in Tacoma. The string of incidents began late Tuesday night and lasted into early Wednesday morning. Pierce County Sheriff's deputies were pursuing a driver they suspected of driving under the influence at 11:24 p.m. on Tuesday when the chase ended at a dead-end road at 4300 Vickery Avenue East.
