A Flood Watch is in effect for most of western Washington on Monday due to an atmospheric river that is expected to bring heavy rainfall to much of the region. The Flood Watch will remain in effect through late Wednesday night. The National Weather Service (NWS) warned that heavy rain paired with rising snow levels Monday into Tuesday will lead to rapidly rising rivers in several areas. Many rivers are expected to reach flood stage by late Monday night or Tuesday.
