Description
Molbak’s Garden + Home announced Tuesday they are no longer a part of The Gardens District construction project in Woodinville after the store said it was forced out by Green Partners.
The partnership has been in the works since 2008 with Green Partners, which is associated with Cascade Investment LLC, the family office of Bill Gates. KING 5 reported on the project in May 2022, when it was set to break ground.
The Gardens District project is a privately funded 19-acre development in the heart of Woodinville to create apartments, retailers and restaurants within a garden space. A new Molbak's location was going to be built as a part of the project and was set to be a featured aspect of the new neighborhood.
