Description

The Newcastle Library is closed after a man was found dead near the building early Monday morning. A 911 call was made at 2:27 a.m. Monday about gunshots being heard in the vicinity of the library on Newcastle Way. The King County Sheriff's Office and Newcastle police officers responded and found a 26-year-old man who had been shot. He was declared dead at the scene. A 23-year-old woman was detained at the scene, and King County detectives will continue to investigate.
