Tacoma police arrested a suspect on Saturday afternoon in connection to a homicide investigation, according to the Tacoma Police Department. Around 7:30 a.m., law enforcement responded to the 3900 block of North Pearl Street in Tacoma's West End for reports of an unresponsive person, according to police. The body was located in a field near a Tacoma church. On Saturday afternoon, Tacoma detectives identified a 30-year-old man suspected of the homicide. He was arrested by officers and detectives, with assistance by Tacoma's SWAT team, according to police.
