A body was found in the water near Rockaway Beach on Bainbridge Island on Friday afternoon, according to local police. Shortly after 2 p.m., police responded to the area for reports of a body off the coast of the island near Blakely Rock, the Bainbridge Island Police Department wrote in an Oct. 20 news release. Law enforcement officials recovered the body of a white man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, with no identification. Kitsap County Medical Examiner's Office took control of the body.
