The people of Bellingham are demanding the city do more to combat drugs and crime downtown. Over the past several years the city has been doing more to fight crime, graffiti and open drug use, but some people are saying it just isn't enough. "We've had vehicles stolen, bicycles stolen, propane tanks stolen," says Janet Lightner, owner of Boundary Bay Brewery. "There are altercations with houseless folks in the middle of the night. One of our workers was threatened with a can of gasoline. A person started a fire in the alley."
