The Lake Washington School District said it is currently evaluating their partnerships with law enforcement and overall school safety staffing levels. The district said this is part of their goals to reduce the overall budget for the 2023-24 school year. The district said in a statement: “We are working with local police agencies to define a more focused scope of work that is responsive to the safety and security needs of our schools.
