Description
A memorial service was held Wednesday for longtime Correctional Officer Jay Miller after he passed away.
Miller passed away on Feb. 11 after a long battle with COVID-19 complications.
The memorial service was held at the Church for All Nations at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Miller's passing is considered in the line of duty and will be honored as such.
Miller worked at the Department of Corrections for more than 30 years. He was also on the Emergency Response Team at Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW) and was recognized for his work assisting the Seattle Police Department during the World Trade Organization Conference in the late 1990s.
