Stevens Pass on US 2 will likely remain closed Tuesday as crews work to remove ice from the roadway after freezing rain fell. Continued freezing rain has brought nearly 6 inches of ice to the roadway, WSDOT said Monday. A grader can scrape up between 2 and 3 inches of ice per pass, which WSDOT said makes it a slow job.
